The BOMA Georgia Foundation advances real estate education through awarding scholarships and providing revolving funds for real estate professionals to use to support their enrollment in designation and certificate professional development programs.

Revolving Fund Education Support Program

The Revolving Fund Education Support Program is designed to assist real estate professionals whose company will reimburse the entire cost of educational programs after the employee passes an exam. Through the program, the BOMA Georgia Foundation will pay the entire cost of RPA, FMA, HP, SMT, and SMA courses, and upon successful completion is reimbursed for the entire course cost and all BOMI enrollment fees and/or late fees at the time of registration by the individual's employer.

Scholarships

Thanks to our generous Foundation donors, the following scholarships are available annually. 

Property Management 101 | $300 Scholarship

Professionals starting their career in commercial property management benefit from the program’s in-depth discussion of industry basics and core principles. This dynamic course combines classroom-style learning, interaction with industry professionals and behind-the-scenes tours of metro-Atlanta buildings.

Building Engineering 101 | $185 Scholarship

This course is designed for new engineers or those with limited experience in the industry. The course combines classroom-style learning, interaction with industry professionals and behind-the-scenes tours of metro-Atlanta buildings.

Commercial HVAC Certificate Program | $300 Scholarship

The Commercial HVAC Certificate Program is a unique partnership between BOMA Georgia and Chattahoochee Technical College offering building engineers five modules of coursework that advances their knowledge of commercial heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.

*BOMI Designation Courses (RPA, FMA) | $500 scholarship 

A BOMI designation is a mark of distinction and an emblem of achievement in the commercial real estate industry. Those in pursuit of a BOMI designation attend a variety of courses providing comprehensive understanding of the real estate industry tailored to either property managers (RPA/FMA).

*In 2017, most SMT/SMA courses, the RPA Budgeting and Accounting course, Design, Operation and Maintenance I course and Environmental Health and Safety course, and the HP Principles, HP Practices and HP Investments course have foundation funding embedded, providing a $500 scholarship to every participant. These four SMT/SMA, three RPA, and three HP courses will not be available for additional scholarship funding. Additionally the Ethics is Good Business ShortCourse is not available for a Foundation Scholarship.

CRE Leadership Masters Program

The BOMA Georgia Foundation is automatically providing a scholarship to every participant in the CRE Leadership Masters Program in 2016. The scholarships are embedded in the registration price, making the program more affordable for real estate professionals to participate.

Responding to the need in the market to prepare Commercial Real Estate (CRE) pros to meet the leadership challenges of tomorrow, BOMA Georgia has created a new and different approach to leadership growth that explores the qualities that are fundamental to CRE leadership and what tomorrow’s leaders must do to prepare for the future of real estate.

The program will feature a variety of instruction styles, including experiential learning, both in teams and as an individual; executive coaching sessions; extracurricular coursework; and a program project presented by each participant at the conclusion of the program. Class size is limited and is first come, first serve. To offer a diverse leadership experience, registrants are also accepted based on their CRE segment and years of experience in the industry.

Each participant in the CRE Leadership Masters Program will be required to research, plan and implement a project. The purpose of these projects should be to demonstrate and put into practice what participants learn through the CRE Leadership Masters Program, and to contribute to your industry/company/association in a meaningful way.
